EnerAid® Wound Care Device: The chronic pain and high cost of treatment for slow healing wounds are the initial targets for Garwood. Specifically, Garwood’s EnerAid® wound care device will produce electrical stimulation (ES) in tissue that has been demonstrated to significantly accelerate the rate of wound healing.
Moreover, the proposed integration of the ES functionality in a conventional bandage will promote healing significantly, while protecting the wound in a sterile environment. Wound healing progress is remotely monitored, utilizing biometric sensors, and progress logged to prove proper treatment, ensure adequate patient efficacy, and provide historical data to improve protocols. With remote monitoring, patients can be properly triaged remotely, so that doctors and nurses can focus on and respond to patients that need it most urgently.
